semana del 24 al 28 de febrero

ENGLISH:
os recordamos que a partir del miércoles 5 de marzo, empiezan los exámenes orales de inglés para quinto curso (también los de 1º y 3º, por lo que es posible que no se os empiece a evaluar sino hasta la siguiente semana)

CONTENIDOS:


ORAL ENGLISH ASESSMENT FOR 5th GRADE, ELEMENTARY EDUCATION,                                                                         test B

GRAMMAR CONTENTS AND VOCAB.

VOCAB.:
  • indications:
    • Example: “go straight on till the traffic lights and turn right”
    • Vocab.: where are you?, walk down the street, turn left/right, take the 1st, 2nd, 3rd on you left/right, go straight on, go straight ahead, go past the, left hand side, right hand side.
  • shops:
    • Example: “Where are you? I’m next to the petrol station”
    • Vocab.: restaurant, pet-shop, bakery’s, butcher’s, green-grocers, fish and chips shop, coffee-shop, laundry, car-repair, hair-dresser, toy-shop, sportswear-shop, vet, chemist (farmacy, USA), jellewery, dry-cleaners, florist, petrol-station, etc.
  • Preposition of place:
    • Example: “the restaurant is in the opposite pavement”
    • Vocab.: on, in, next to, behind, between, opposite, in front of
  • Places in a town:
    • Example: “there is a ‘bulletin-board’ on the front wall”
    • Vocab.: town, city, village, bank, town hall, post-office, police station, rail-way station, shopping center, mall (USA), square, park, market, museum, street, school, language school, house, hotel, building, theatre, hospital, cinema, airport, etc.

GRAMMAR STRUCTURES:

  • Simple present:
    • Example: ‘go straight on’ and take the 3rdturning on’ your left
    • Vocab.: all the vocabulary included in the previous items.
ORAL COMPREHENSION TEST

  1. Activity

  • The big group together
  • Pass the ‘test form’ out to students
  • Show the students a video on the pc ONE TIME
  • Allow the students to assimilate the information and encourage them to take notes on a piece of paper (back of the test form)
  • Play it again once more stopping in the middle
  • Play it again stopping after every single answer
  • Time allowed to fill the test form: 10-15 minutes
  • The directions to students will be spoken in English

ORAL EXPRESSION TEST

  1. Activity

  • Show the students a carpet which represent the map of a town
  • Two students will be doing the oral test at the same time
  • student A will ask how to arrive by car to a determinate place in the map and student B will give some directions in order to get the place right
  • Time allowed:1-2 minutes
  • The directions to students will be spoken in English

  4. todas las estructuras gramaticales y familias de palabras de vocabulario han sido estudiadas y trabajadas en clase. Por tanto, lo único que tenéis que hacer es repasar lo que 'ya se ha visto' para preparar la prueba oral
